E-Commerce Division

Centaur Academic Media’s E-Commerce division is involved in building Websites for College bookstores. Centaur builds and maintains these sites for FREE. Centaur’s revenue model is based on a Per-Transaction-Fee structure.

Problem:

College bookstores, especially independent stores, often have outdated and poorly maintained Websites. This occurs because the bookstores usually do not have the budget or manpower to build and maintain these sites. Often, part-time student employees are building these sites.

At the same time this is occurring, the Colleges that these stores represent have fairly intricate and modern Websites. This is due to the fact that the College has the budget and manpower to cover these costs.

The bookstores’ budgets are usually separate from the Colleges’ budgets.

Solution:

Centaur Academic Media is willing to build and maintain the Websites for Free and charge a per-transaction fee for Internet sales.

Centaur can incorporate the following features into any website:

bullet Complete computer store – hardware, software and accessories
--- Including Electronic Software Distribution - ESD
bullet Apparel and gifts
bullet Books
--- Eventual Electronic Book Distribution
bullet Supplies
bullet Direct ties to online registration programs

The sites are maintained by Centaur Academic Media.

All store buyers still keep current positions. Centaur merely provides more efficient reporting and ordering capabilities and greater variety in products.
